Fundamental Paper Education (FPE) is a psychological horror indie web series created by animator Kaaatie (also known as Katie). It centers around a group of students attending a school entirely made of paper, where the teachers are brutally cannibalistic and failing a test means certain death.The Lethal Faculty: The school’s teachers, such as Miss Circle, Miss Bloomie, and Miss Thavel, are monstrous, weapon-wielding entities. They relentlessly hunt down and devour students who receive failing grades or misbehave.The Students: The story primarily follows students like Claire, Engle, and Abby as they try to survive. Along with the murderous teachers, they also have to contend with school bullies who face no consequences for their actions.Inspirations: The premise takes heavy inspiration from the 2017 indie horror game Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning, where players also have to evade a teacher who punishes failures violently.Aesthetic: Despite its dark, gory, and horror-driven themes, the animation features a highly expressive, semi-3D "paper cutout" visual style.
