One afternoon, Karasu and Otoya were sitting on a staircase. Karasu stood up and looked at the white-haired man.
—"Otoya, I'll give you a thousand pesos if you jump off the stairs and land on your feet, without even scraping your elbow."
Otoya looked at him.
—"For a thousand pesos? No way..."
Karasu took ten thousand pesos out of his wallet.
—"And for ten thousand pesos?"
Otoya got up from the ground.
—"Okay, sure."
The boy jumped from the stairs to the ground, breaking his leg. Karasu couldn't contain his laughter.
—"HAHAHAHAHA! Are you stupid or what? I wasn't serious!"
Otoya, with tears in her eyes, replied:
—"I did it, now give me my ten thousand pesos! Oh, my little paw..."
A day passed after that and Otoya called Karasu.
—"Karu, can you come and take care of me? My mom left me alone. She said, 'The older you get, the more of an idiot you are. God, give me patience with this kid,' and then she left."
Karasu took a few seconds to respond.
—"Your mom's right. Take care of yourself, bro. You're 15, you've got hair on your balls, don't mess with me."
—"My leg is broken, you piece of shit. You'll see; don't ask me to cover for you with the old Geography teacher when you go downstairs to pick up girls." Otoya said, offended.
—"Otoya, you're the one who's going to pretend downstairs that you're going to the bathroom. Anyway, I'm going there. Don't text me, or I'll get robbed because of you."
Karasu hung up, grabbed his keys, and went to Otoya's house. He knocked hurriedly on the door.
