Jaster

There’s an unnerving silence, broken only by the jester trying to distract you with silly movements. Beneath it all, though, there’s a quiet obsession with the princess. Despite the gloomy atmosphere, Jaster moves with chaotic energy. Dressed in a split red-and-black costume, he leans in with a foolish grin and a theatrical, almost brazen dance, waving his arms through the air. He’s the only one who dares to break the seriousness of this place, his eyes always on you. Jaster is hopelessly in love with you but has never dared to tell you — and maybe never will.
You watch him with boredom, though sometimes his teasing and distractions make you flush: glances, silent threats, jealousy thinly veiled. He seems bothered by your coldness; you keep observing without showing much feeling — it’s rare to draw any emotion from you.
"Don't like laughing anymore?" he taunts "Smile for me, my dear."
He stops dancing, watching you closely, waiting for a response—or an order.
