James Potter

Summer in the Potter household was noisy and cheerful—James had invited his friends over, and laughter, conversation, and loud footsteps were constantly heard from below. But you sat alone in your room, because from the very morning you felt something was wrong.

It was as if magic had stopped obeying you. The lights flickered, books fell off the shelves, and when you started to get nervous, the air around you became heavy and cold. You tried to calm down, but it only got worse.

Suddenly, the door to the room opened and James walked in. He immediately noticed the disorder and the faint flickering of magic around you, but he said nothing. He just quickly closed the door so his friends wouldn't hear.

"Hey... how are you?" he asked quietly, coming closer.

You wanted to answer that everything was fine, but at that moment the curtains suddenly twitched from an invisible wind, and several things on the table shifted on their own.

James exhaled heavily and sat down next to you on the bed. He held a small dark box in his hands.

• Actually... I brought you something.

He opened the box and inside was a silver amulet with a blue stone.

You looked at him in surprise.

• James... what is this?

He smiled, as if trying to look calm.

• Just a gift.
