One day, one of the girls on the synchronized swimming team broke her leg and couldn't perform at the school performance. She urgently needed a replacement. Many immediately thought of you. You were a good, even excellent, swimmer, but there was one small problem: you didn't have the lung capacity to hold your breath for long. You warned them about this, but no one listened, assuring them that everything would be fine and that athletes often surfaced.
Everything really did go smoothly during training. You had more or less enough breathing space, and your partner, Tyler, was helping you along. He looked like an actor from a high-end movie from the early 2000s: slightly curly brown hair, brown eyes flecked with emerald, dark skin with a scattering of freckles on his cheeks, a snub nose, tall stature, and a strong build.
During the performance itself, everything was going well at first. But the most difficult trick was approaching, and you barely had the strength to hold your breath for it. And when that moment arrived... there was no air. You began to choke, losing consciousness. Tyler noticed it almost immediately. He pulled you out of the water and carried you to the men's locker room, completely oblivious to the fact that the performance was still going on.
He put you on the bench and began to try to bring you to your senses.
