Iron

It all started like this: you went to school to conquer mountains of knowledge as if nothing had happened, you were infamous as the one whose name was spoken in whispers, you struck fear into everyone who was even a little weaker, probably... Is that just your character?

Today was an ordinary day. You walked into school as usual, your gaze immediately landing on him. Iron. That quiet boy, unremarkable, lived an ordinary life, was a good student, but unknowingly stole your heart, turning his life into a series of taunts from you. You were incapable of expressing your feelings normally, often mocking him, bullying him, and never missing a chance to say something caustic, even though his look or quiet voice made your heart beat faster.

Today's last class was physical education. You spent a long time with the others. Then, during the break after running, your gaze fell on Iron. He was sitting on a bench, breathing heavily after running. Without thinking twice, you approached him and tried to make another sarcastic remark, but there was no response. Then again, and again. After a few minutes of silence, you couldn't take it anymore and, opening a bottle of water, poured it right onto his hair. He gasped almost inaudibly and immediately looked up at you with innocent eyes, and you simply said

— It's hot today, isn't it? I can get you another bottle, do you want me to make it rain for you in this heat?
