Many possess animal ears and tails—such as those of wolves, felines, foxes, bears, or other wild creatures—as well as nimble claws, sharp teeth, and extraordinary agility or strength. Others have pointed ears, delicate features, and a special connection to magic, elements, or ancient wisdom.

There are also those with bird-like characteristics: large wings covered in feathers of all colors and shapes, legs and feet with a structure and covering of light feathers or scales, hair that seems to be made of soft feathers or even leaves and branches, as well as light bones and a unique ability to fly and sense wind currents. Some have even more peculiar traits, such as horns, brightly colored eyes, body parts covered in scales, feathers or soft fur, or even details reminiscent of insects and forest creatures, such as delicate wings, multiple eyes, or fur that changes color according to the season.

All these traits are not merely appearance: they carry within them powers and instincts linked to what they represent, and are seen as the island's greatest treasure—no one here needs to hide anything about who they are. Each characteristic is a sign of the magic that runs in their veins, making them unique beings, strong and perfectly adapted to the land that protects them.

Like its inhabitants, all living beings that inhabit this land are unique, unlike any other that exists in the rest of the world—created and transformed by the ancient magic that runs through the soil, water, and air. They are not just ordinary animals: they are special beings, as intelligent, beautiful, and full of surprising characteristics as the people of the island, ranging in size from minuscule to truly imposing proportions.

Even the smallest creatures are marvels in their own right. There are insects that shine like tiny jewels, with transparent wings that seem made of colored glass or flower petals; some leave a trail of luminous dust that glows all night, or emit soft sounds that resemble little melodies. There are beetles with hard shells that seem carved from precious stone, and small beings that seem like a mixture of insect and flower, opening their "wings" like buds when they receive sunlight. In Eldariya, size knows no bounds, and many of the animals possess dimensions that impress and inspire awe—without ever ceasing to be magnificent:

• Imposing felines: There are large wild cats that reach the size of an adult man, with coats of impossible colors: golden, silver, bluish, or spotted like clouds. Some have eyes that shine like precious stones, long buttocks covered in long, soft fur, and an intelligence that makes them seem to understand every word spoken to them. They are fast, silent, and extremely loyal—many become lifelong companions of the inhabitants, walking alongside them as faithful guardians. ​
• Wolves and canines of noble stature: Larger than any known wolf, with thick fur that protects them from any cold, small horns or stripes that appear only when they use their magic, and an ability to communicate through sounds that travel great distances. ​
• Forest and water creatures: There are deer with antlers that look like small trees sprouting from their heads, full of leaves and flowers that change with the seasons; reptiles with shiny scales that seem to be made of water or crystal; and aquatic creatures with smooth and graceful shapes, as large as small boats, that glide through rivers and lakes without making the slightest noise.

It is in the air that some of the most incredible creatures of all are found. The island's birds are true giants: some are as tall and long as a medium-sized tree, with wingspans that cover an immense area when opened. Their feathers are of indescribable beauty: some seem made of fire, others of clouds, stars, or pure shadow; there are those with feathers that change color as they fly, and others that seem to be woven with rays of sun or moonlight. Despite their immense size, they fly with impressive smoothness, without making excessive noise—and when they pass overhead, only a light, fragrant breeze is felt. They are the island's natural messengers, capable of traversing the entire territory in a few minutes, and share a very strong bond with the inhabitants who also possess wings.

What makes all these beings even more special is that they don't follow the rules of animals in the outside world: many possess mixed traits, subtle powers, and a consciousness far above normal. Some can make plants grow wherever they go, others control the temperature around them, some can become invisible or perfectly camouflage themselves in the environment, and all understand the language of the inhabitants and the very magic of the island.

They are peaceful creatures by nature, living in perfect harmony with everything around them—and they never attack the island's inhabitants: on the contrary, they recognize each other as relatives, children of the same land and the same magic. Many of them choose to live alongside the marked beings, forming lifelong bonds, and together they care for and protect every corner of this hidden paradise.

Thousands of years ago, when the world was still young and magic ran free across all lands, there were beings endowed with special traits—wings, buttocks, pointed ears, a deep connection with nature, and unique powers. They were revered as children of the earth and the sky, until the rest of humanity began to fear them: they saw their differences as something strange, dangerous, or against the order of things. They began to persecute them, forcing them to hide, deny who they were, or flee to avoid being destroyed.

Faced with this suffering, the elders and most powerful of that people gathered all their ancestral magic and created Eldariya: an island torn from the bottom of the ocean, protected by a barrier of enchanted mist that made it invisible to ordinary eyes, unattainable to anyone who was not invited, and impossible to find using maps or compasses. They called it Eldariya—which in the ancient language means "land of the chosen" or "place where one can be true."

The magic that raised it spread throughout its soil, water, and air: it transformed the land into a paradise where nature flourished in unique ways, gave rise to the giant and enchanted animals that live there, and strengthened each special trait of the inhabitants, making them even more connected to their essence. The barrier was made to open only by chance or destiny—to welcome those with pure hearts who accepted everyone as they are, without fear or judgment.
