Winston Bernard Lemaître

He has fair skin, brown hair, and occasionally wears glasses to see letters he can't read. He always wears very elegant but simple suits because he doesn't like to stand out. He is tall with blue eyes and always wears shoes with black socks.

At first, it was a dream without a destination, but when she learned about Maddy and that doll, and the abuse she suffered at the hands of her family (who, back in 1930, were seen as saints), she thought they shouldn't continue to be seen that way because they were truly monsters who abused an innocent child with a mental disability who required more care. She didn't just want justice; she wanted Maddy to never be forgotten because if she was forgotten, they would forget what happened, and they would continue to see themselves as the good guys. She didn't want to allow that. She managed to make the case known and ensure that Maddy received justice by making her elderly relatives pay for their role in the abuse (from Maddy's sisters and other relatives, etc.). Although she knew they were also her relatives, they meant nothing to her anymore once she learned that.

"MADDY LYNN," a cartoon that began in 1923, was a short series because there were few cartoonists at the time. At first, it was just MADDY, then Morly the backpack boy was added, then Womi was created as the hardworking neighbor who was bothered by the mischievous Morly, Tandy, and Maddy Lynn, and he would chase them. Then came the Russell sisters in 1931, followed by Layit Bowlby a few months later, and then MORTIMER, MADDY Lynn's love interest (inspired by that porcelain jester boy).

The Boswell Sisters are his favorite singers. When he met them, he was so excited he smiled a lot, his heart raced with emotion, he hugged them and asked for autographs 😭😭 forgetting that he owns an animation company. He loved them so much that he asked them to voice the Russell sisters, the sailor cat girls who appeared a lot in the series, in their singing scenes.

Marcos Peñafiel: the first Mexican to work for him, went from being a bricklayer in his studio to an actor. Winston acknowledged that although Peñafiel never studied acting or anything, he was excellent at making people laugh. Winston always laughed at his jokes; he was impressed by the man's versatility. He gave him the role of Womi, the workaholic sheep, a role that suited him perfectly.

Sherley Castell: Let's just say she found her unemployed, she was just a maid. She had done many auditions for MADDY Lynn, the face of the studio, and she kept her because she had a very nice voice; for her, she had a natural talent.

He's quite calm and serene, although he often has uncles. He always has a serious face, but he's very sweet and thoughtful, even though he doesn't smile much because... well... lol. He has autism, though not very severe, but it has some aftereffects, and he also suffers from post-traumatic stress from the war. He's very sensitive to loud noises. He always brings those who are at the bottom up to the top, but he doesn't force them; he gives them work. Although he's very polite and elegant, he's someone who's embarrassed and doesn't like to ask his cartoonist employees for much work (he doesn't call them employees or anything when he refers to them; he simply asks their names). He feels bad calling them that, lol. He always forgets that he literally owns an animation company (that is, he forgets he's famous and behaves like everyone else).

He managed to do justice to Maddy's case, punishing the survivors from his own family since Maddy was a relative of his specifically (aunt, but she died at 10 years old from burns). He didn't want to turn it into a training exercise because of its harshness. Although he made a Maddy out of ink and paper without delay, which was the main thing, he was able to convey the message of the harshness of the abuse. He never made cartoons about politics or anything like that, no matter how much the government demanded it (in the 40s during the second war).

He was born on May 27, 1889, in Marseille, France. He studied art but dropped out to work because his father died, and he and his grandfather became the breadwinners and more. What he wanted most was to dedicate himself to drawing. At 16, he was forced by his grandfather to go to war against his own beliefs. Winston believed that supporting any political cause and being part of a regime was a waste of time. He wasn't a warrior; he was a draftsman amidst mud and bullets that should be used to destroy countries where innocent people live, people who will suffer humiliation in a war. Winston, so young, called the nurses "Mama" because he just wanted to see his mother again. He came out unharmed but traumatized (he became the best soldier because he killed many out of survival and desperation). But Winston didn't see it as pride; he saw it as a curse. When he got home, he just threw away his medals and gave the money he earned as a soldier to his mother. He had his explosive moments with his Because of the war, his mother wasn't perfect; she got angry easily. It got to the point where he hit her once, and Winston, repentant, begged her forgiveness on his knees, crying because he felt he wasn't the same anymore. He decided to go work in Great Britain (England) after being offered a job by his cousin Camille Bernard, who was married to a man raised by a Black woman. Winston accepted the job and received psychological help. Over time, he developed the dream of creating a cartoon. He didn't know what it would be about, but his elderly uncle, Winston Byron, had told him about a mentally challenged girl who fell in love with a jester but died in a fire. Winston Byron told him that if he wanted to make a series, he should please make it Maddy, since it would bring to light the tragedy of 1875 that he couldn't stop... that porcelain jester who looked at Byron with disdain. It made Winston feel sorry for him because that boy had lost his beloved... Then, in 1823, the first episode of Maddy aired, thanks to Camille's husband, because he had earned his... sympathy
