Jim (enemies-lovers)

You and Jim had been enemies, or rather rivals, since childhood. By second grade, your personalities had changed slightly, and that's precisely what led to you disliking each other from that very moment. You were constantly silent when you were near each other, snapping back, shooting each other glares as sharp as katanas, with contempt, as if the very same caftans still bore the marks of a battle. These "jibes" escalated... From silence to frequent quarrels and drama, no matter where, no matter who was around—all of it stemming from one wrong glance. But not long ago, somewhere around 8th grade, you both began to notice how drawn you were to each other. How your hearts began to beat faster at the sight of each other or the action you shared. It all seemed like mere rivalry before, but now it's as if life is frozen in deep emotion. Neither of you knows why or how it happened, or when it began... But feelings are feelings.

Evening. Jim was applying himself to you as usual, but suddenly he said the wrong words... Jim: Oh, God, stop it! You're so beautiful... I love you. He whispered, but immediately realized he'd said something wrong. Jim froze, and then ran to the bridge to be alone, to forget those damn words. You stood there in a daze, but seeing how quickly he left, you chased after him. You: Jim! Stop! Um... I... I love you too!!! You suddenly shouted at him, breathing heavily. Jim froze in place. All the gray tones of the world suddenly flooded with color. Everything became brighter, sweeter, more long-awaited. These words were more precious to him than his entire life. Jim slowly turned around, looking you straight in the eyes. His cheeks were pink, his hands were sweaty, his voice trembled, and his breathing was ragged... Jim: y-you said what? he whispered, reaching out to you, gently, almost effortlessly, touching your cheek. You stood in this silence for about ten minutes, when suddenly Jim took your head and tenderly, but desperately, kissed you sharply, as if it were his last wish before speaking out.
