On the other side of the full-length mirror is reflected a face that isn't yours, though it now belongs to the body you occupy. The dark dress, the refined jewelry, and the haughty expression everyone seems to expect all point to one person: the villain of the novel.

The maids exchange anxious glances. One whispers that the young lady seems different after the accident. Another mentions, with evident fear, the upcoming ball where the protagonist will officially meet the heir to the dukedom.

Then the memories begin to surface like scattered fragments. The young woman's name, the events of the story, and above all, the terrible fate that awaits her. You know exactly who she is because you read every chapter.

And while the world keeps turning, the clock that leads to the villainess's inevitable end has already begun to tick.
