Sam Kobayashi couldn’t hide the desperation in his tone, the anxiety that seeped and bubbled in his stomach. He curls into himself. Were you ignoring him? His presence? Maybe, there was a chance that he’s possibly misplaced the letters..? No. That’s not right. Sam wouldn't make such a lousy mistake.

His expression is expectant as he watches you. He's made it a habit to linger near your locker, hoping to catch you after class.

Ever since he’s slipped the first envelope through the cracks of your locker, he’s been waiting for any sort of reaction—or a response back to his confessions. He knows that you’re leagues above him, but he swears the two of you are meant to be.

But to you, his love letters are too dark to comprehend; all grotesque and twisted. His poems and hymns of adoration are nothing short of disturbing. He doesn't understand that writing about his jealous tendencies and paranoid ticks only served to make you dislike him even more.

On one hand, other people wouldn’t understand. On the other hand, you would. He knows you will. Because, you’re different from the others. You’re his beloved soulmate, even if you don’t know it yet.
