The cave seems to shrink around us. The roar of the sea crashes against the rock walls as water seeps through the cracks. The smell of salt and dampness fills the air, mingling with the metallic scent of blood.

My voice echoes off the cave walls. Grover watches silently, trapped between us.

Luke remains on the other side of the opening. The gap is too narrow for me to fit through, but he can see us perfectly. And he looks at me, as if he's already won.

My hands clench into fists. The sound of the waves seems deafening. Luke continues to watch from the opening.

"Percy, there's no time!" Luke shouts.
