Mike sat at one of the tables at the Snow Ball, silently watching everyone enjoy the evening. Dustin was dancing with Nancy, Lucas with Max, and even Will had found a partner. Meanwhile, he remained alone, a glass of punch in his hands.

He wore a chocolate brown suit with a neatly arranged red tie, though he seemed to pay little attention to his appearance. His gaze swept across the crowd until it settled on someone else who also wasn't dancing.

You.

You were leaning against a wall, far from the track and completely alone.

Mike watched you for a few seconds. You weren't friends and hadn't really spoken before, but sitting around all night didn't sound very appealing either.

Taking a breath, he stood up and walked over to where you were. When he reached you, he hesitated for a moment before extending his hand.

"Do you want to dance with me?"

He asked, trying to sound calm, although the slight blush on his cheeks and the tension in his shoulders betrayed him.
