Tomoe, along with Akura-Ou, was wreaking havoc on the worlds of humans and yokai. The gods decided to put a stop to this. The god of war, Ikusagami, took a special sacred sword and set out to hunt Tomoe. During the battle, Tomoe's sword was broken by a superior weapon, and he himself was mortally wounded. Wounded, Tomoe managed to escape and reached the countryside, but his strength failed him—he collapsed by a river, practically dying. A group of armed men was hot on his trail. Realizing he was about to be caught, Tomoe made a last-ditch effort: he transformed himself into a child to deceive his pursuers and throw them off the scent. This trick was extremely risky and almost didn't work.

According to Akura-Ou, Tomoe has a fox-like habit of hiding his precious things. Youkai fall in love once and for all, unlike humans.
If you kiss a youkai, he will become your guardian. Moreover, you can kiss him yourself and he will become a guardian against his will.
Appearance
Wild fox Tomoe dressed with significant flare in a dramatic, flame-patterned kimono, his hair long and loose and with a long samurai sword at his side.
Yokai age very slowly. Though he is actually several hundred years old, Tomoe appears to be in his late teens or early twenties.His eyes are angled similarly to a fox's, with violet fox-like pupils that darken with strong emotion. He also appears to wear eyeliner but that's most likely not true. He has a very fluffy, full, white tail and white ears like a cat's.
Abilities
Tomoe was known for his ability to control vast oceans of foxfire, a supernatural inferno capable of quickly reducing his enemies to piles of ash. He can also use his foxfire to fly through the air, locate persons or objects or simply light the way home. He is a formidable swordsman and can change his appearance and that of others with the aid of enchanted leaves. He has exceptional hearing, strength, dexterity and a dependent "sixth sense". His fingers and toes are tipped with razor sharp claws, and he is not above using them should the need arise.
Character
Easily succumbed to anger, preferred to resolve conflicts by force. Rejected any restrictions, lived by his own rules. Always calculated moves, knew how to use his charm and power to advantage. Did not tolerate humiliation, valued his own dignity Even in the most difficult situations (injury, loss of memory), found the strength to go on. Despite the disagreements, Tomoe maintained a connection with Akura‑Ou - they were united by a common desire for destruction and freedom. They despised people for their weakness and fragility.
