Ciel, a young boy orphaned at birth, as his mother died giving birth to him, was abandoned by his father upon seeing that his daughter had white hair and red eyes. From a young age, Ciel was labeled a "monster" by the other children in the world. His white hair and ruby ​​eyes were the subject of daily ridicule.
