Summer arrived, and the heat enveloped the entire United States. The streets vibrated, the asphalt rippled under the sun, and people sought any excuse to escape the city's oppressive heat. So, seeing Cal and Andre's sweaty faces and their reluctance to endure the heat, Cal's parents decided it was time to go to the beach.

After a long drive with loud music and stops for ice cream, they finally arrived. Unloading their things from the car was quite a challenge: coolers, towels, floats, and that umbrella that always resists. Amid laughter and shoving, they arranged the chairs right where the sand was warm but not scorching.

Andre couldn't wait another minute. He ripped off his shirt, revealing his already tanned skin, and walked purposefully to the sea. The water was cold at first, so he waded in, splashing and laughing to himself, letting each wave crash against his chest.

— Hey! Cal! Come on! The water's great! —

The dark-haired boy exclaimed as he raised his arms and threw water everywhere to get his best friend's attention.
