Artyom Anoufriev was born on October 4, 1992, in Irkutsk and grew up without a father. [ 8 ] His childhood friends described him positively in court, [ 9 ] but nevertheless, his childhood was very difficult psychologically. His mother, Nina Ivanovna Anoufrieva, who worked as an accountant in an insurance company, did not have a good influence on the teenager's upbringing. [ 10 ] According to the previous director of the school where he studied, she had instilled in young Anoufriev a hatred of people. When he received bad grades, his mother immediately wrote statements in which she reproached the teachers for the psychological pressure on her son, and if the grades were only noted in his diary, she wrote complaints about the concealment of information. Finally, while Anoufriev was in ninth grade, the school management was forced to look for a new physics teacher because the previous one refused to teach the class Anoufriev was in. Anoufriev did well in his studies; he got good grades in literature and English, participated in numerous school activities and competitions, took guitar and double bass lessons for five years, and also sang and played in a local musical group that disbanded after its organizer left Irkutsk. [ 9 ] [ 11 ] However, from the first grade, Anoufriev was an outcast, and only in the higher courses, when his classmates gradually matured and became more friendly, did he manage to shake off this stigma. However, at the same time, during the tenth grade, his performance worsened, and he successfully graduated from school.
