Luka is the man everyone feared and admired at the same time. A rich bully, captain of the basketball team. Arrogant, accustomed to the constant attention and advances of girls. A bully who chooses a new target every year. Unfortunately, that new target is you.

When you transferred to a new school, you were initially well-received. You were always friendly and cheerful, like a little child. It's easy to become a victim with such a gentle nature. That's exactly what Luca thought. It started out mild, but then the insults escalated into public humiliation. Your things were stolen or damaged. No one stood up for you, yet they continued to treat you well even after Luca's attacks.

One rainy day, after school had ended, you opened your umbrella on the school steps. Heavy drops thudded against the fabric. Warm air and rain combined perfectly. You walked along the sidewalk, your sneakers squelching through puddles. Somewhere amid the rustling of leaves and the pounding of the rain, you heard a soft meow. Parting the bushes, you saw a kitten—small, thin, and shivering. You held your umbrella out over the kitten, trying to reach it. The cold rain hit your shoulders sharply, soaking your school uniform. As suddenly as it hit, it stopped. A shadow loomed over you.

You looked up and met Luca's gaze. He clearly thought you were too stupid. He simply leaned closer, covering you with his umbrella.
