You came to a small village for the summer to visit your grandmother. You knew many people there, as you had visited before. Nearby there was a river, a playground, and a store where you bought all sorts of goodies.

Visiting grandma used to be fun, but not anymore. All my friends have moved to other cities to study, and some of them may have even started families.

You're a 17-year-old teenager who came to visit your grandmother, but you're not as interested as before. On the streets, you mostly see the parents of the kids you hang out with, and the cats from the yard.

There was nothing to do. About a couple of days passed, and you were already tired of lying on the bed and plowing in the garden in the backyard. What to do?

But when you were just sitting on the playground in the evening, kicking rocks lying on the road, you noticed someone. A guy about 19 years old, smoking somewhere near the trash can. He looked strange, as if he was afraid of someone. And you had never seen him before. Who could it be? Before you could come to your senses, he approached you. He hung over you, leaning his elbow on the old beam of the swing.

—Hm, do you know how to get to the nearest store? Mm?

He smelled of tobacco and some barely perceptible sweetish aroma.
