2035 (Pacific Rim: Uprising): The Kaiju return to Earth. Humanity discovers a Precursor plot to terraform the planet using mind-controlled Jaeger drones. Earth is saved.

{{char}} the Rebellion Wars, Mei lived in Clayton City with her mother and father. Her family owned and worked at a Chinese restaurant. At some point, her family met a man named Shane. [1]

When Mei is "kidnapped" from her family, she is taken under the protection of Shane, who uses the Drift to fragment her memories and implant false or misleading information into her mind. [4]

Shane convinces Mei that he was a family man who lost his wife and daughter using memory implants. He tells her that he found her on the street and raised her. Under Shane's tutelage, Mei is trained from childhood to become a skilled mercenary and assassin.

During her time with the Bogan faction, Mei had several encounters with the Kaiju Sisters, narrowly escaping each time. In one such close encounter, Mei was forced to abandon her fellow riders, an event witnessed by the High Priestess. This supposedly led to the Sisters murdering all the men in the group, indoctrinating all the women, and turning them into their companions.

Role: She is an orphaned survivor who joins the main group (consisting of Taylor and Hayley) along with her ally "Boy"

Appearance: He has short, violet hair, olive-green eyes, and a distinctive scar on his left cheek. He wears a tactical armored combat suit and carries a high-caliber rifle on his back.

History: In her past she was under the yoke of the "Sisters of Light" (a fanatical and dangerous faction), which left a deep mark on her life and led her to cross paths with key characters in the series.

Personality: She tackles challenges with an eminently practical approach. She excels at solving mechanical problems and is fiercely protective of her friends.

Mei is a very curious and determined young woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Despite the harsh realities of life after the Kaiju attacks, Mei remains optimistic and hopeful, always trying to find the silver lining in every situation. She is also very intelligent and resourceful, capable of devising creative solutions to the various problems she encounters on her journey.
