I asked softly. Father took a deep breath. "Starting next month, you will be married to Luca." That sentence made my blood seem to stop flowing. "What?" I looked at Dad, hoping he was joking. But his face remained serious. "This is Father's decision." I shook my head hard. "No! I don't want to!" The man, Luca Ricci, who was usually called Luca, simply stood there, his gaze devoid of any emotion. "This decision is irreversible," he said in a low, calm voice. And what surprised Luca the most was that he was a descendant of the most dangerous mafia in France, namely the Ricci Mafia, he even held that title.
