He is a MAN. He has short, dark blond hair, green eyes, and wears glasses. He wears a dark green World War II military uniform. In a previous design, his eyes were brown.

The second largest of the Baltic states, Lithuania is very clever and considered the luckiest of the three (the least harmed by Russia and capable of resolving problems independently, unlike Lithuania and Latvia). It is very tech-savvy, maintains its own blog, and enjoys good relations with several of the countries.

Latvia is short, has curly blond hair and violet eyes (blue in the anime). He usually wears a brown uniform with brown epaulettes and black boots. He is the smallest of the Baltic trio. Before his appearance, he was drawn on the creator's website with thicker eyebrows.

He's a very sincere and innocent boy, as well as being shy and rather cowardly. Lithuania and Estonia are always scolding him for making Russia angry with his honesty.

He is a very tall man who appears kind and innocent, but in reality, he is cruel and childish. He can be intimidating without saying a word; his wide smile and demeanor only amplify the macabre aura surrounding him. In Volume 3 of the manga, it was revealed that Russia is kind and naive, but disturbed. Although he can be very cruel, he is unaware of it himself. He can become depressed (as seen in Episode 42 when he thinks about his sisters). He ends many of his sentences with "Da," the Russian word for "Yes."

He had a very turbulent childhood (unlike Ukraine and Belarus, which came under the control of Poland and Lithuania respectively), witnessing many tragedies and wars that undermined his mental stability. General Winter appears to him every year, causing him to hate winter. However, in war, General Winter is his best ally. His greatest dream is to live in a vast field full of sunflowers.

When he is angry he says "KolKolKol" (short for the word "Koljós") ​​to scare others.

He is the tallest of the Allies and the tallest of all the countries. He has short, grayish-white hair. Russia wears a long beige scarf, a large, heavy coat, green pants, and black gloves. In Russia's Drama CD, he tells Japan that his scarf is part of him and that's why he can't take it off. Although this seems to be an excuse, since it's clear that he didn't wear it as a child until Ukraine gave it to him (asking in return for the right to succeed to Kyiv). He has a face with childlike features. In some chibi versions, he is seen with a pipe, a bottle of vodka, or sunflowers. His eyes were originally blue, but they changed to purple.

She is a very intimidating young woman who is madly in love with her brother Russia, to the point that she wants to marry him, much to his horror. However, she actually means she wants to ally herself with Russia, a stronger country. This feeling is not reciprocated, as he only sees her as his sister and is afraid of her. On the other hand, Lithuania has always been in love with her and isn't afraid of her, but she has no interest in him whatsoever.

Belarus always carries a knife everywhere she goes. According to a note in the "Russia's Sisters" strip in Volume 2 of the manga, Belarus became a sort of adoptive sister to the United States after the fall of the Soviet Union, something that displeases her. In Himaruya's official computer mascots, it's revealed that she loves the occult and paranormal, and that she enjoys reading the Soviet newspaper Pravda.

Belarus has long platinum blonde hair and blue eyes. She wears a long blue dress, a white apron, a white hair ribbon (which is sometimes blue), and black shoes. Russia and Lithuania refer to her as "very beautiful." However, in Episode 1, her hair appears light brown, and she wore a black dress and ribbon without an apron.

Russia:

Lithuania became a subordinate of Russia, both its favorite and its most mistreated. When it gained independence in 1918, Lithuania worked for eleven years under the United States' protection, but after the Great Depression, it was forced to return to Russia.

Russia visits the United States to tell him to take good care of him since "he is his ex."

In modern times, Lithuania still seems to fear Russia. It's believed that the scars on his back were inflicted by Russia, as he enjoyed mistreating Lithuania. Russia once confessed to Lithuania that he longed to be in a warm place filled with sunflowers. Episode 37 of Season 2 reveals that they met as children when Russia was under the control of the Tartars. Russia declared Lithuania his friend, much to Lithuania's confusion.

Belarus:

Lithuania was in love with Belarus (whom he calls Belarus-chan), but it is an unrequited love since she is obsessed with her brother Russia and hates Lithuania.

In Episode 37, he tells Russia he can't accompany him because Germany scares him and because he managed to get a date with Belarus, where Lithuania is very enthusiastic until Russia forces him to go to Siberia. In Episode 43, while Belarus scares Ukraine by making one of her terrifying faces, he blushes, saying she's very cute. In the manga, when he finally gets a date with her that lasts three minutes (according to him, the best three minutes of his life), she ends up breaking his fingers, though he doesn't care and remains determined to win her over. In an audio recording, Himaruya reveals that Belarus's hatred for him stems from the fact that Belarus was once part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, which is why she was separated from her brother for so long. At the 2011 Halloween event, she appears less violent towards him, and later he's startled to hear Belarus swear at Denmark.

America:

After becoming impoverished following World War I, Lithuania lived with the United States and worked for him as his servant. According to him, he enjoyed being there and became very friendly with the United States. He even got along well with Tony and the whale (Tony abducted him into his spaceship because he was jealous of Lithuania playing with the whale). After the Great Depression, he had to return to Russia, but he visited him on the United States' birthday.

Poland:

Lithuania and Poland are best friends, although Poland can be egotistical and mistreats Lithuania at times. They were allies in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth until they lost a war against Russia and were separated.

Poland calls his friend Liet (short for Lietuva, the Lithuanian name for the country) and defends him if he's bothered by Russia (in Chapter 1, he told Russia that if he kept bothering Lithuania, his capital would be Warsaw). In the "While You Were Away" strip, Poland discovers that Lithuania has marks on his back from Russia's mistreatment and comments, "There's a side to Liet I didn't know." He seems to feel more than friendship for his friend, as he was jealous when Lithuania got a date with Belarus.

Lithuania's human name is referred to as Toris or Tolys. In some fan works, he is referred to as Taurys or Thoris. Toris is the most common name, although Tolys is a Lithuanian name. His surname is originally Laurinaitis (Lorinaitis is incorrectly used by fans).

(Ritoania) is a supporting character in the Axis Powers Hetalia series. He represents one of the three Baltic States and is a subordinate of Russia. His human name is Tolys Laurinaitis (Tōrisu Rorinaitisu). His voice actor is Ken Takeuchi.

During the Middle Ages, Lithuania controlled several European countries (such as Belarus) and was a very powerful nation that once defeated Prussia, until it was annexed by Russia. Although it attempted to escape several times, it was always forced to return. After the fall of the Soviet Union, it went to live in Poland. It cares deeply for others, sometimes to the point of becoming so depressed that it causes stomach aches. It can be quite a burden, as evidenced by its unrequited love for Belarus.

He's somewhat introverted, and that's why everyone takes advantage of him. He likes martial arts and literature, and he drives a used car. In one manga strip, the other Baltic statesmen idealize him, but he ignores them to spend more time with Poland. Ironically, a blog post revealed that he's capable of ignoring Poland for Belarus. Both Russia and Poland exploit him.
