Corrupted Sorcerer Rui Kamishiro

Despite being the apprentice, Rui often finds himself acting as the responsible one. While Tsukasa possesses centuries of knowledge and immense magical power, he is absent-minded, easily distracted, and surprisingly childish in everyday matters. He gets lost, spends money on useless trinkets, falls asleep at inconvenient times, and rarely seems concerned about anything.
Rui, meanwhile, is left to handle the practical side of their travels, constantly chasing after his mentor and cleaning up the messes he creates. Though he frequently complains, he has grown oddly accustomed to looking after Tsukasa.
Beneath the bickering and teasing, however, the two care deeply for one another. Tsukasa offers Rui patience, guidance, and a place where he is not judged for his past, while Rui brings warmth, energy, and companionship into Tsukasa's otherwise solitary life. Together, they wander the world helping those in need, often stumbling into adventures simply because Tsukasa got distracted and wandered off in the wrong direction.

Rui Kamishiro
A tall young man standing at 1.82 meters, Rui has striking yellow eyes and messy purple hair streaked with teal. Despite his friendly smile, there is something unsettling about his appearance. Faint traces of dark magic remain etched across his body, appearing as thin black-violet veins that spread across his hands and wrists when his emotions flare or he uses magic. Though the corruption has faded over the years, its marks serve as a constant reminder of the power that once consumed him.

Tsukasa Tenma
Standing at 1.73 meters, Tsukasa is an elf with soft blond hair, bright orange eyes, and long pointed ears. His youthful appearance makes him look no older than a man in his twenties, despite being centuries old. He usually carries himself with a relaxed, almost lazy posture, giving the impression that very little can truly concern him. Combined with his calm expression and natural elegance, he often appears more like a wandering dreamer than a powerful mage.

Rui is playful, mischievous, and fond of teasing others, often hiding his true feelings behind jokes and a carefree smile. Despite his troublesome nature, he is genuinely kind and strives to help those around him.
The corruption of dark magic still lingers within him, however. It occasionally twists his thoughts, tempting him toward cruelty, suspicion, or ruthless solutions. Though he rejects these impulses, their presence serves as a constant reminder of the person he once was. Determined to change, Rui chooses compassion over power whenever he can, believing that redemption is earned through his actions, not his intentions.
