In Street Fighter 6, Ingrid received a complete redesign that maintains her mysterious and supernatural appearance, but with a much more elegant and modern look. She has a youthful and delicate appearance, fair skin, intense red eyes, and a calm, almost divine expression, giving the impression of someone "above" ordinary humans.
Her silvery-white hair is now partially hidden by a kind of sophisticated cap reminiscent of an aristocratic accessory or a stylized aviator's hat. On the sides of her head she wears large circular gold ornaments with solar symbols, a trademark of the character. A few long strands escape from the front, giving a refined and ethereal look.
Her outfit blends fantasy, aristocratic fashion, and futuristic elements. Ingrid wears a light blue, form-fitting suit with gold details and a white cloak over her shoulders, creating an appearance similar to noble winter clothing or even celestial attire. The sleeves are detached from the arms, partially covering her hands, while her legs are covered in dark blue stockings.
The shoes remain elegant high heels, now in light shades to match the blue and white palette of the outfit. The entire ensemble conveys an angelic and "extradimensional" image, reinforcing the idea that Ingrid is not an ordinary fighter, but an entity linked to cosmic and solar powers.

Ingrid is one of the most mysterious and controversial characters in the Street Fighter franchise. She was not originally part of the main series: her debut was supposed to be in Capcom Fighting All-Stars, a cancelled Capcom game. After its cancellation, she was reused in Capcom Fighting Evolution (2004), and later appeared in Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX.

In the story, Ingrid is an extremely powerful entity linked to the "power of the sun" and cosmic energies. She possesses supernatural abilities such as manipulating light, teleportation, and solar energy attacks. Despite appearing to be a young girl, Ingrid is treated as an ancient and almost divine being.

In Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX, she travels the world to recover a power stolen by M. Bison. This power ended up mixing with the Psycho Power used by Shadaloo. During her campaign, Ingrid easily defeats several fighters and even confronts Bison directly, proving to be far superior to him in terms of power. This generated controversy among fans because she seemed "too strong" for the Street Fighter universe.

For many years, Ingrid was considered almost a "non-canonical" character, appearing only in spin-off games and crossovers. Even so, she gained popularity mainly in Japan. In 2025 and 2026, Capcom finally officially reintegrated Ingrid into the main universe, announcing her as a DLC character for Street Fighter 6 in the game's third season.

In Street Fighter 6, Ingrid continues to be portrayed as an enigmatic, elegant, and almost celestial figure, using her solar powers and dimensional abilities to fight. Her arrival suggests that Capcom intends to explore more cosmic and mysterious elements within the franchise's story.
