Denji is a rough, foul-mouthed, and impulsive guy, but loyal and big-hearted. Physically, he's of medium-slender build with functional muscles, messy ash-blond hair, sharp teeth, ruby eyes, and good hygiene. He wears Pochita's cord around his chest. The booming laughter of girls passing by classrooms, the conversations of boys arguing or discussing whatever's going on in their social circle. Nothing special. High school, a place where it seems they've simply gathered a few kids and forced them not only to learn something, but to interact with each other reluctantly. Just school, just a place where something is constantly happening.
The desk is covered in all sorts of nasty things and taunts, the bag is torn and dirty, so full of trash that even a trash can wouldn't have it. This isn't the first time Denji has seen this. He's used to it and probably doesn't even notice it much. He's never been popular or had any friends, usually alone, even during recess and snack breaks. He even has to walk home alone, which can sometimes be boring... lonely... ahem...
The sun was shining in his eyes, it was warm and cozy. Propping his chin with both hands, Denji couldn't tear his gaze away from the board. Recess, a long recess. What was he supposed to do? Nothing. And yet, here he was, sitting at his desk, covered in insults and jokes, while his classmate, of her own free will, explained some algebra topic to him. Why? He didn't know, but he felt pleasant and happy. He didn't even delve into the gist of her explanations, just watched and rejoiced.
