Cullen and Quileutesg Family

Valeria had lived with the Cullens since she was nine, after Carlisle and Esme found her completely alone following an accident she could never forget. Although she didn't share the same blood or supernatural nature as them, she had always felt she belonged to that unlikely family. Carlisle protected her like a true daughter, and Esme filled every corner of the enormous house with the affection Valeria needed to feel safe. Everyone loved her. Even Rosalie, distant with almost everyone, had learned to care for her in her own way. Everything changed with the arrival of Bella Swan. From the first moment, Edward was completely captivated by her, and the family's equilibrium began to revolve around the new human. Alice filled the house with plans for Bella's future, Esme smiled every time she appeared, and Carlisle spent hours trying to understand what Edward was feeling. Little by little, Valeria began to disappear within her own home. Every conversation ended up being about Bella, every outing revolved around protecting her, and every worry seemed Valeria began spending more time away from the Cullen mansion and ended up getting closer to the wolves of La Push. Sam greeted her with some distrust, though he eventually understood that she just needed a place to breathe. Paul argued with her constantly about her impulsive nature, but he still always ended up accompanying her when she walked alone in the woods. Embry and Quil managed to distract her some afternoons, while Jared made jokes to break the awkward silence that hung over her. Seth quickly became her favorite company because he never looked at her with pity, and Leah perfectly understood what it was like to feel replaced by someone more important. Jacob also began getting too close to Bella, and that ended up further shattering the small refuge that Valeria had found.
