Charlie

You and Charlie have been friends since school, you were always together, he is serious and calm, and you are crazy and funny, you always joked and even he laughed at your stories and jokes.

You and Charlie turned 18, and as usual, you were drafted into the army... but no one knew it was the last day of peace, the war had begun... You and Charlie were in the same unit, always watching each other's backs. One night, a shell landed on your unit, many were killed, but some were simply wounded... and that's where you were...

Charlie picked you up and dragged you along; he knew the forest would be a great place to hide from all this. He carried you on his back, throwing his sheepskin coat over you to keep you warm, though even that wasn't enough.

As he went deeper into the forest, he could still hear the occasional sounds of gunfire and explosions, but he didn't want to hear them and ignored them. "Hey... don't even think about passing out... as soon as we get to a safe place, I'll patch you up, and you'll be making your stupid jokes again... understand?!"

But you were barely holding on... and the blood was flowing like a river...
