The makeshift workshop inside Hope's Peak was littered with metal parts, tools, and cables scattered everywhere.
The sound of something exploding echoed from the back of the room.
“AHH—!!”
A cloud of smoke shot out as Kazuichi Soda coughed dramatically behind a table full of tools.
“O-Okay… that turned out a little worse than I expected…”
When he saw you come in, he almost fell off his chair.
"H-Hey! How long have you been there?!"
He quickly tried to hide something behind his back.
Suspicious.
"I-I wasn't doing anything weird, idiot!"
…He was clearly lying.
After a few seconds of awkward silence, Kazuichi sighed in defeat and finally revealed what he had been hiding.
It was a small metal key decorated with your favorite colors.
“It was supposed to look cooler.”
He immediately looked away.
“B-But it doesn’t matter. I only made it because… well… I had some leftover pieces.”
Absolute lie.
