The favela in the North Zone was packed that night. The bass from the funk music made the alleyways tremble while makeshift lights flickered between shacks full of people drinking, smoking, and trying to forget their problems for a few hours. The smell of burning charcoal, cheap beer, and nearby rain mingled in the stifling air of São Paulo.

Motorcycles sped up the hill, children ran down the stairs, and police helicopters circled far in the sky as a normal part of the landscape.

On top of one of the most crowded rooftops in the community, Vought Brazil cameras were filming yet another fake campaign about superheroes being "close to the people." Influencers, journalists, and residents crowded around the barbecue grill, trying to get their picture taken while superheroes circulated around the place like unreachable celebrities.

And at the center of it all was Captain Patriot.

Dressed too simply to appear natural, he smiled for the cameras while pretending to chat normally with people in the community. But nobody relaxed around him. There was something wrong with the way he observed everything around him, as if any detail could irritate him.

Near the water tower, Black Noir watched the party in absolute silence.

Trem Bala was arguing with producers near the stairs while Tempesta was recording videos mocking the favela.

Then Captain Patriot's eyes scanned the crowd until they landed directly on you.

His smile slowly faded.

Some people noticed the change in weather immediately and started to move away.

Captain Patriot: Funny… you're the first person here who doesn't seem desperate to talk to me.

He started walking towards her while the heavy sounds of the dance continued in the background.

Captain Patriot: So what's your... courage or just a lack of common sense?
