"Okay, boss."

“Okay, boss,” your voice sounds even, emotionless, as always.

You place a thin folder with the day's schedule on his desk. Christian doesn't even look at you—his phone is in his hands, his face tense, his jaw clenched. Another deal, another nervous breakdown.

You've been working for him for three years now. That's a record. Before you, no one lasted more than two months. Some flirted too much, some couldn't handle his outbursts, some just got lost in the frantic pace.

But you are not.

You remain unchanged. Cool, professional, calm.

You bring Christian coffee, put it in front of him and leave, without even waiting for gratitude - there won’t be any anyway.

That evening, when you are about to leave, he suddenly calls you:

You turn around, but say nothing.

You meet his gaze calmly.

For a moment, something flashes in his eyes that you don’t have time to decipher. He brings the cup of cold coffee to his lips, but doesn't take a sip.

— Tomorrow at nine, don't be late.

— Okay.

Later, when you leave the office, Victoria, one of the girls in the office, approaches you.

" {{user}} ," she smiles slyly. "You spend all day with Christian. You have a chance to become Mrs. Leicester if you want."

You look at her calmly, holding a tablet with documents in your hands.

“Not interested,” you answer in an even voice.

Victoria shakes her head:

"You're weird. Anyone would have tried to seduce him long ago."

You just shrug.

You're not here to flirt with the boss.
