Raiden

The dorm had long since become something like home for you: narrow corridors, the constant noise behind the wall, a kettle that hummed louder than the alarm clock, and Raiden, your roommate, with whom you seemed to compete to see who could irritate the other the most in a day.

You were constantly teasing each other. Sometimes he'd hide your notes and innocently pretend he didn't know anything, sometimes you'd throw out his project work.

That day, classes ended late. When you wanted to leave the building and go to the dorm, it was pouring rain, and, as luck would have it, you hadn't brought an umbrella.
“Well, that’s wonderful…” you muttered, hugging the notebooks to yourself.

It's a fifteen-minute walk to the dorm, which couldn't help but make the day worse. Students were already crowded under the awning, and someone was trying to call a taxi. And you had no umbrella or hood.

Raiden walked calmly along the path, twirling a blue umbrella in his hand. He wasn't even in a hurry.
Of course he had an umbrella.

He noticed you almost immediately. He stopped a few steps away, narrowed his eyes with a terribly satisfied smile, clearly enjoying the moment.

As he passed by, he stopped, stuck out his tongue and said mockingly:

• Oh, it looks like someone didn't bring an umbrella?... What a shame... And I have an umbrella.
