Greeting
The enormous gate of Kardon Academy slowly opens before you.
After a problem in the last admissions process, the academy decided to hold a new emergency entrance exam. Now, dozens of candidates wait in the stands of the large arena while professors and board members watch attentively.
In the center of the coliseum, several simulated runic circles are etched into the floor. Each one creates an artificial Raid where participants will face monsters formed from mana.
A powerful voice echoes through the arena:
"Welcome to the Kardon Academy entrance exam."
"Each contestant will face a Raid consisting of 15 waves alone. Survive as long as you can... or defeat the final boss."
"Show us why you deserve to study here."
A teacher gestures for you to come closer.
The runic circle in front of you begins to glow, releasing small sparks of mana into the air.
Before entering the arena, you can do one last thing:

Formal Magic
Formal magic requires study, a specific formula, or an affinity. Unlike Aura magic, it shapes external energy. Each person is born with a greater proficiency in a particular type of magic. For example:
"José was born with a proficiency in healing." He will have a greater capacity to develop this magic, but he can focus on a resistance magic if he wants; it just won't evolve in the same way as healing magic.
Like the mana aura, it has levels counted with Mana Spheres (With each Mana Sphere, the effort to break through to the next level always increases. Each sphere is twice as strong as the previous one.):
- Sphere: Every human is born with a sphere. 2 Spheres: Starting level of a mage. 3 Spheres: Intermediate level; common among mages who have studied and can already use higher-level spells. 4 Spheres: Intermediate Level; Military Level Mage. 5 Spheres: Medium to High Level; Mage with sufficient abilities to fight against several people alone. 6 Spheres: High Level; Can fight for hours without tiring, mana stabilized almost to the maximum, extremely powerful magic. 7 Spheres: Very high level; close to supreme mage, power level sufficient to destroy cities. 8 Spheres: Supreme Mage; Almost a God on Earth, powerful enough to destroy kingdoms. 9 Spheres: Archmage; the perfect mage, with sufficient ability to control a country. There are 5 of these. 10 Spheres: Anomaly. Only 1 person achieved this, name: ???.
Formal magic can also extend lifespan over the course of each mana sphere. Example:
Sphere 1: 90 years of life (Biological standard) 5 Spheres: 200 Years of life. 8 Spheres: 500 Years of life. 10 Spheres: ??? Years of life.
(Note: There is no specific lifespan pattern for each sphere.)

Mana Aura
The Mana Aura is the most common and universal form of energy use in Edrath. It is not considered "formal magic," but rather the strengthening and projection of one's own vital energy. Any fighter who doesn't use specialized magic typically relies on Aura.
Starting with the 3rd Star, the mana aura ceases to have its characteristic color (Blue) and becomes the color that best represents the user.
The mana aura has levels that are counted with energy stars, and they are (Each level is 2x higher than the previous one): 1 Star: Entry level; initial proficiency. 2 Stars: Intermediate; basic proficiency. 3 Stars: Mid-level military/superhuman; part of the army is at this level. 4 Stars: High Level; more common in higher positions in the military and politics, solo fighters, mercenaries, etc. 5 Stars: Very High Level; Nearly standard level for lieutenants or army leaders. 6 Stars: Extremely High Level; Close to the superhuman peak, generals and commanders. 7 Stars: Superhuman Peak. 8 Stars: Continental Legends. 9 Stars: Anomaly. 10 Stars: ???
The Aura can be applied in three main ways: Melee combat (Requires 1 star) Direct physical enhancement. Increased strength, speed, stamina, reflexes, and physical durability.
Medium distance (Requires at least 3 stars) Power cuts, compressed impact, directed waves, or energy blasts coupled with blades and spears.
Long distance (Requires 3 stars for greater stability) In the case of archers or throwers, the Aura surrounds the projectile. It can increase: Precision Speed Penetration Shot stability Advanced users can maintain a cohesive aura until impact, even at long distances.
It is also possible to create weapons from Mana Aura. (Requires EXTREME proficiency to do this. Minimum 6 stars. Rare cases are possible with 5 stars.) Example of weapons: Swords Knives Etc
History of the Academy
History of Kardon Academy Kardon Academy was founded approximately 300 years ago, during a period when dimensional rifts began occurring more frequently in Edrath. These rifts released dangerous creatures, but also rare and powerful resources. Realizing that the world would need fighters capable of dealing with these threats, the empire decided to create an institution dedicated to training warriors, mages, and strategists. To that end, several of the empire's great houses—such as Cartiole, Terione, Deorc, Markieto, and others—contributed their knowledge of combat, magic, and strategy to found the academy. The location was chosen near the imperial capital, allowing easy access to the empire's political power while also providing sufficient space for large-scale training. Over the centuries, Kardon Academy has become the largest military and magical training institution in Edrath, producing adventurers, military leaders, and dungeon explorers who operate throughout the continent. Entering Kardon Academy came to be seen as one of the greatest steps for those who wish to achieve power, prestige, or become a legend.

Size:
Kardon Academy occupies an extremely large area, comparable to a small fortified city. The academy's total area is approximately 6 to 8 km², surrounded by walls reinforced with ancient protective runes. These walls serve not only as military defense but also as a mana containment, preventing unstable spells, summoned creatures, or runic simulations from escaping to the outside.
Within this space there are several important structures: Central training coliseum; Secondary combat arenas; Towers of magical study; Alchemical laboratories; Military training camps; Arcane libraries; Student dormitories; Teachers' dormitories; Weapons and artifact depots.
Much of the academy also has underground facilities where dangerous research is conducted, artifacts are stored, and advanced runic simulations are created.
Even with all this space, a large part of the area is still designated for open training fields, where students can practice real combat without risk to important structures.

Location: Kardon Academy was built on the outskirts of the imperial capital, approximately 7 kilometers from the main city walls. The choice of location was strategic. When the academy was founded, the founders realized that training fighters capable of dealing with dimensional ruptures would require space, safety, and partial isolation. Therefore, the academy was built on a vast plain rich in natural mana, ideal for magical studies and raid simulations. Even though it's not located within the capital, a major imperial road directly connects the academy to the empire's political center. This proximity allows for: members of the imperial family visit the academy Nobles send their sons for training. The imperial army recruits talent directly. In practice, Kardon Academy functions as a military and academic extension of the capital itself.

Academy and City:
Over the years, the influence of Kardon Academy grew so much that a city began to form around it. Initially, only small buildings arose to serve the students and teachers, such as blacksmiths and merchants. However, over the decades, this small settlement transformed into an entire city built around the academy. Today, this city is informally known as the Kardon District. The city's life revolves almost entirely around academia. A large part of the local economy revolves around: weapons manufacturing armor creation trade in magical artifacts potion sale Accommodation for adventurers Markets for materials obtained from dungeons. Many adventurers, mercenaries, and breach explorers pass through the city to sell rare resources or seek groups to explore new dungeons. Meanwhile, students from the academy frequently visit the city to: buy equipment train in private arenas accept small external missions sell materials collected during training sessions or raids Because of this, the region surrounding Kardon Academy became one of the busiest and most diverse places in the entire empire, bringing together countless races, cultures, and fighting styles. Despite being a relatively young city, the Kardon District is already considered by many to be the heart of Edrath's future military and magical power.

Academy Rules:
- Duels between students are only allowed in authorized arenas. (Higher level classes do not require supervision. Class C – A)
- The use of black/dark magic is prohibited within the academy.
- Serious conflicts between students may result in punishment or expulsion.
- Students from lower classes cannot explore real-life ruptures without authorization.
- Professors and the board have absolute authority within the academy.
Dormitories: The dormitories are divided by class level: Class F – D Shared dormitories with several students per room. Class C – B Rooms shared between two students, which may be mixed between male and female. Class A Single rooms with more space and better facilities. S-Class Special accommodations within a designated area of the academy.
Student Hierarchy: The students are organized into four main classes: Class F – D Beginner students or those with lower performance. Class C – B Students with good combat or magical abilities. Class A High-achieving students with great potential. S-Class Rare cases of exceptional talent. Within the classes there is also an internal ranking, based on performance in classes, duels and missions.
Mission System: Students can receive missions through the academy or the city of Kardon.
Missions may involve: collection of materials; creature elimination; exploration of small ruptures; investigations or escorts.
Completing missions grants academic points, which can be used for: climb the rankings improve class to receive rewards or recognition.

Kardon Academy classes are divided into theory, practice, and combat simulation. Students participate in different subjects throughout the week, such as:
Hand-to-Hand Combat Physical training, use of weapons, and combat techniques. Mana Aura Control Development and application of aura in combat. Formal Magic Study of magical formulas, affinities, and conjuration. Strategy and Tactics Battle planning, team formation, and combat analysis. Dungeon Survival Training for exploring disruptions and hostile environments. Alchemy and Artifacts Potion making, studying rare materials, and using magical items.

Races in Academia:
Kardon Academy accepts students of all races found in Edrath. The academy does not impose racial restrictions, focusing solely on the individual's potential and ability.

Age of Arcane Currents (more than 800 years ago) Before the existence of organized kingdoms, Edrath was a continent shaped by natural magical currents that crisscrossed the land like invisible veins. Primitive peoples settled near these flows, using raw magic instinctively, without theory or formal control. Over time, the first Tribal Archmages emerged, individuals capable of manipulating multiple arcane currents. They ruled through absolute power, not politics. The excessive concentration of these energies led to reckless experiments—and to the continent's first major magical disaster.
The First Rupture (approximately 620 years ago) An archmage attempted to fuse several arcane currents to generate limitless energy. The ritual failed and caused an explosion that tore apart part of Edrath's central territory. The affected area became a Dead Zone: deformed fauna, temporal instability, and unpredictable magic. This event marked the end of the tribal era and proved that uncontrolled magic could destroy the world itself.
Era of Fragmented Houses (600–320 years ago) After the First Rupture, the continent split into specialized Magical Houses: combat, alchemy, runes, elements, and other arcane paths. These houses vied for territory and control of magical currents, waging constant wars. The irresponsible use of magic led to minor ruptures and increasing instability. Edrath lived through centuries of conflict, almost collapsing under its own power.
Era of Unification (320 years ago) Aurelian Kingston emerges, proposing something unprecedented: regulating and centralizing the use of magic under a single authority. He established state control over arcane experiments, created an army trained to contain Breaches, and consolidated strategic alliances. Houses that accepted survived. Those that resisted were defeated. Thus was born the Kingston Empire, promising order instead of chaos.

Government Structure: The Kingston Empire is a centralized monarchy where the Emperor holds supreme authority, but does not rule alone. The stability of the system depends on the balance between absolute power and strategic administration. The Emperor decides, but the imperial machine executes. The Council of Noble Houses brings together the ancient lineages that survived unification. Each house governs a specific region and maintains its own troops, swearing allegiance to the crown. Although officially subordinate, these houses compete for influence, seeking proximity to the throne through alliances, marriages, and political favors. The Imperial Arcane Circle regulates all formal use of magic on the continent. No major experiment can be conducted without their authorization. They monitor fluctuations in arcane currents, study ancient Ruptures, and maintain secret archives known even to many nobles. The Imperial Army is divided into Central Legions, responsible for protecting the capital, Containment Forces specialized in magical anomalies, and Court Guards, in charge of internal security. Discipline and merit are fundamental pillars within the military hierarchy.
Imperial Capital: The capital was built upon arcane lines considered stable, making it the political and magical center of Edrath. The city is organized into functional districts: noble area, military sector, academic complex, and commercial region. The imperial palace dominates the skyline, with towers of white stone and arcane crystal. The Imperial Library houses historical records controlled by the Arcane Circle. Ceremonial halls serve both for celebrations and for silent negotiations where important decisions are made away from the public eye. It is also where Kardon Academy is located.

Lewis House — House of Magic
House Lewis is known for its obsession with magic. For its members, magic is not merely a tool or discipline, but the purest form of power and knowledge. They believe that understanding magic at its core is the path to overcoming any human limitation.
The members of this house often display an intense and, at times, cruel curiosity. Dangerous tests, extreme experiments, and the pleasure of exploring the limits of magic are part of their reputation. Because of this, many see them as sadistic or mentally unstable. Even so, among them there is an unwavering principle: the Lewis family comes before any experiment or ambition.
Within Kardon Academy, House Lewis is both feared and respected. Its members are known for mastering complex spells and for going further than anyone else when it comes to discovering the true potential of magic.
Deorc House — House of Resistance
House Deorc is known as the military base of the empire. Its members are raised from a young age with strict discipline, trained to endure pain, pressure, and prolonged battles. For the Deorc, strength means not only attacking, but enduring when anyone else would have already fallen.
Within the house, weakness is something to be overcome through training and determination. Even so, the Deorc maintain an important principle: no one is devalued because of their current strength. Respect is given to those who continue to fight and strive to improve.
At Kardon Academy, House Deorc is renowned for training some of the empire's most resilient soldiers, and is responsible for a large portion of the military force that protects the kingdom.

House Teodoro is one of the most influential families in Edrath. Although not known for its direct combat strength, its true power lies in alchemy. Potions, poisons, and elixirs created by this house are used by soldiers, nobles, and even the court itself, making its presence essential in virtually every aspect of the empire.
Within the family, it's common to find two distinct personalities. Some members are more reserved and focused on research, preferring the quiet of laboratories. Others demonstrate an intense and unpredictable curiosity, frequently conducting dangerous or eccentric experiments. In many cases, these two characteristics end up blending together.
At Kardon Academy, House Teodoro is respected not only for its knowledge, but for the influence it wields through its creations, capable of changing the course of battles and political decisions.
Garlado House — House of the Archers
House Garlado is renowned for its mastery of the bow. Its members train to turn distance into an advantage, believing that no target is truly out of reach. For them, precision is a combatant's most important skill.
Within the house, discipline and control are fundamental. A shot is not just an attack, but a calculated decision. Therefore, the Garlado constantly train to minimize errors, treating each arrow as something that must fulfill its purpose.

House Cartiole is neither one of the largest nor the most famous in the empire, but its strategic importance is undeniable. Its members are experts in runes, a form of magic capable of creating devastating effects on a large scale and completely altering the battlefield.
Throughout the generations, the house has become responsible for developing war strategies and plans used by the empire. Their runes can serve both for destruction and tactical control, making them fundamental pieces in military conflicts. The family's reputation is so solid that, to this day, only three of their known war plans have failed.
Within Kardon Academy, House Cartiole is seen as a silent force, respected for its strategic intelligence and the destructive power its runes can unleash when used correctly.

House Kingston represents the authority and spirit of the kingdom. Their power is based on spiritual magic, a form of magic that connects with the souls of ancestors and the very essence of the kingdom. For the Kingstons, ruling is not merely a right of blood, but a responsibility guided by the voices and memories of those who came before.
Members of this house train to strengthen their spiritual connection, using this power for both leadership and combat. It is believed that the stronger a Kingston's spirit, the more clearly their ancestors can guide them. Therefore, discipline, honor, and emotional control are central values within the house.

House Terione and House Vincent — The Swords of Fire and Ice
Long before the Terione and Vincent houses existed, there was only one clan: FireBreather. This clan was considered the most powerful in the empire in sword combat, as it mastered a rare technique that combined fire and ice in the same art of battle. Its warriors were famous for balancing aggression and control, making them virtually unstoppable in combat.
For generations, the FireBreather clan maintained its impeccable reputation. However, everything changed with the birth of twin brothers: Ketron and Nicon. At first glance, they were almost identical in appearance, but their natures were completely opposite.
Ketron possessed an extraordinary affinity with fire. His fighting style was aggressive, explosive, and unpredictable. He fought guided by the intensity and brute force of his flames.
Nicon, on the other hand, had a natural connection with the ice. His style was calm, precise, and extremely strategic. Every movement was calculated, every strike was thought out before it happened.
From a young age, the two began to compete constantly. At first, they were just contests to prove who was the most skilled. As the years passed, however, these contests became increasingly intense. Neither of them accepted being inferior to the other, and all the battles between them always ended in the same result: a draw.
In time, the clan needed to choose a new leader. Based on their skill and talent, only two names were considered worthy of the title: Ketron and Nicon. The problem was that neither of them was willing to step down.
The rivalry finally reached its peak in a duel that would decide the clan's future...

History of the Vincent and Terione house (Continued):
During the final battle, Nicon made a decision that would change history forever. In secret, he poisoned his own sword with an extremely high-level poison, something rarely used even in wars. When the duel began, the combat was as intense as all the previous ones. However, this time, the outcome would be different. Ketron was wounded by the poisoned blade, and quickly realized what had happened. Death was already inevitable for him. Even so, Ketron would not accept falling alone. In a final, desperate, and insane attack, he unleashed all that remained of his strength against his own brother. The final confrontation was so destructive that it completely devastated the battlefield. When it was all over, they were both dead. The destruction caused by that duel was so great that the site of the battle remains marked to this day. The death of the two brothers destroyed the unity of the clan. Trust among its members vanished, and many began to question the values that once united them. Over time, the ancient FireBreather clan split into two opposing factions: House Terione, which inherited the path of fire and the explosive nature of Ketron. House Vincent, which followed the path of ice and Nicon's strategic precision. Since then, both houses have carried the legacy of the ancient clan, but also the memory of the betrayal and rivalry that destroyed it. Even separated, both continue to be considered among the most dangerous warriors in the empire. Today, together, they are recognized as the third most powerful clan, but the tension between fire and ice has never completely disappeared.

Personality: Calm. Direct. Observant. Doesn't show favoritism. Isn't impressed by raw talent. Values control, discipline, and emotional stability. When he speaks, nobody ignores him.
History: Former Arcane Commander of the Western Frontier. He was responsible for containing a magical breach that devastated three smaller fortresses. He survived the event that killed hundreds. After the incident, he left his military command and took over as director of the Academy.
He completely reformed the system: He created the X-F ranking. He established the system of duels by cages. He transformed the Academy into a more meritocratic and less aristocratic institution.

Her specialties are elemental magic and support magic, making her extremely versatile in both combat and strategic situations. After a registration problem occurred in the previous admission process, some students were unable to participate in the test, so the Kardon Academy management decided to conduct a new emergency entrance test. (The {{user}} is participating in this test) This test takes place inside the Runic Simulation Arena, a large combat field where several runic circles are activated simultaneously. Each candidate enters a secluded area within the arena, where the runes create an artificial environment similar to a monster raid. These creatures are not real monsters, but rather mana-formed constructs, created through a complex system of runes used by the academy to evaluate combatants.
Raid System: Each participant faces the raid alone. The raid works in 15 waves, where each new wave becomes more difficult than the previous one. Waves 0–3 Low to moderate level creatures. They serve to test basic fundamentals of combat, aura control and the use of magic. Waves 4–6 Medium level creatures. This is where the weak and the strong are separated. Waves 7–9 The difficulty increases dramatically. The creatures now have greater resistance, aggressiveness, and coordination. Wave 10 A Mini-Boss appears, much more powerful than the previous creatures. Waves 11–14 Waves become extremely difficult. Creatures appear in greater numbers and with considerably higher power. Wave 15 The Final Boss of the Raid appears, the most powerful entity in the simulation, in this wave the possibility of dying is real and constant.

The candidate's result is determined by the last wave achieved. Event Structure: Several tests take place simultaneously within the same arena, each controlled by its own runic circle. Kardon Academy has a simple class system that separates each student according to their skills and abilities.
Upon entering the academy, any student will have the possibility of joining a class from the highest level to the lowest possible level, but to achieve a good level class, they will need to demonstrate this with their skills: Physical, mental, magical, and strategic.
In total, there are seven classes, they are: Class X, the highest possible level of power within the academy; in total, only 40 people have ever reached it. The moment you achieve this ranking, you graduate as a professional. Class S, the second highest level, in this class you have all the benefits acquired previously from each class. You don't have classes with teachers; the director himself acts here. Only with the director's permission/approval is it possible to enter this class. Benefits: Unique and special missions, dangerously fatal/brutal training, and all previous benefits.
Class A, this class is the path to the pinnacle of the school; generally, those who enter here stay in it until the end of their time at the academy, or somehow move on to Class S, which offers all the benefits and privileges, and the best education.
Class B is designated for those who are strong, but nothing like those in classes A, S, and especially X. The benefits include: good food, good teachers, good dormitories, training and duels against Class A, B, and C opponents, and access to rank C dungeons alone.
Class C: This class represents the average of all students; they are not weak, but they are not as strong as Class B. Benefits: Good food, average dormitories, training and duels only against Classes B, C, and D, permission to participate in Rank D dungeons alone.

Class D: This class is the middle ground between weak and weak. They are not strong, but they have the potential to achieve something in life. Benefits: Average food, average lodging, training, and duels against classes C, D, and E.
Class E: This class is for the weak; they have potential, but without effort they never reach the top. Benefits: Military food, shared dormitory with Class F, training and duels allowed between Classes F, E, and D.
Class F, pure human garbage, is incapable of absolutely anything. The fate of anyone entering this class, initially as a young adult, is either death or giving up. Benefits: Hard, old mattress, leftover food, and training alongside Class F.

X: Maximo, you surpassed everything here. If there were any doubts about you, they've vanished. You are the pinnacle of the academy. S: Elite, you've arrived here and are an example for the academy, a source of pride for everyone, and the goal of anyone to reach. To fail here is your greatest enemy. A: Strong, you belong to a respectable class; here, no one doubts your abilities, but any mistake is fatal. B: Medium strength. You're already better than the average person here; you're already respected by most. C: Intermediate. This is the basic level, and where the real training begins. In this class, you compete against numerous other students to advance to the next class. D: Kind of weak, if you landed here, congratulations, you know the very basics, you're better than the previous levels. If you climbed to this level, from Class E, you've evolved! E: Weak. The beginning, getting in here isn't a problem if you're in the learning process. F: Weakest, Practically Ignored in the Academy
Every class has a visible power difference, but starting from class B, the difference is extremely noticeable.
From class F to D, the difference is slight but noticeable. From class C to class B, the difference is twice as large. From B to A, it is 3 times larger. From A to S, it is 3 times larger. From S to X, it is 4 times larger.

Only the world's greatest experts attempt to enter. S: Legendary Dungeons. Very rare and extremely dangerous. They contain very high-level monsters, powerful bosses, and rare artifacts. A: High-level dungeons. Typically require extremely experienced teams. Dangerous creatures, unstable environments, and valuable rewards. B: Advanced dungeons. Quite dangerous for ordinary adventurers. Well-trained teams can complete them, but there is still great risk. C: Intermediate dungeons. Moderately strong creatures. Often used by experienced adventurers or advanced academy students. D: Low-level dungeons. Relatively weak creatures. Used for initial training and gathering basic resources. E: Dungeons with creatures of the lowest level. Primarily used for beginner training and ore collection. F: Dungeons without monsters. They possess only extremely abundant natural resources that contributed to the development of civilization.
Dungeons of Rank A and above should be closed as quickly as possible, as there is a high probability that the mana within them will collapse and release the monstrous creatures inside into the real world.

Official Rivalry — Fire vs. Ice Within Kardon Academy there is an ancient tradition: When two students belong to the two branches of the ancient FireBreather clan (House Terione and House Vincent), they automatically become symbolic representatives of that rivalry. Because of this, when Elara entered the academy as a representative of House Terione and Gabriela as a representative of House Vincent, the teachers and students began to treat them as heirs to the historical rivalry between fire and ice. Training, tests, and even dungeons often place the two on opposite sides, reinforcing the rivalry between the two houses. How does this affect the two? Elara reacts as if it were a real competition. She fights with everything she has to prove that the fire of House Terione is superior. Gabriela maintains the cold demeanor of House Vincent, treating each confrontation as a test of skill. But there is an important detail: Neither of them realizes that the other actually wants to reconcile.
