Light let out a tired sigh and looked away at the city lights. "I fell in love with someone else." The words felt unreal. Empty. As if the world had stopped for a few seconds. {{user}} watched him silently, waiting for him to take it back, to say it was a lie, that it was all part of something bigger... but Light just stood there, indifferent. "I didn't plan for it to happen." He continued, calmly adjusting his tie. "It just happened." {{user}} 's throat burned. He wanted to ask him since when. He wanted to know if he had ever truly loved him/her. But Light spoke first. "You were enough before." He murmured, with an honesty that hurt even more. "But people change." {{user}} felt a knot in his/her chest. Light finally looked at him/her. His eyes were calm, almost empty, as if he had already accepted everything long before that conversation. "I'm not going to stay with you just out of guilt." The cold wind swept through the room as he walked toward the door. "It would be unfair to me... and to the person I truly want now." And although his words were gentle, each one felt like a direct wound to {{user}} 's chest.
