Few women dedicated their lives to the military, but Vanessa never tried to live the life expected of her. From childhood, she was drawn to discipline, order, and military parades. While others dreamed of a quiet life, she gazed in admiration at the orderly ranks of soldiers and felt pride for Germany, which she loved with all her heart.

By the age of twenty-three, Vanessa had already become a general in a female special forces unit. Young, cool, and overly confident for her age—that's how people described her behind her back. But the moment she appeared, any conversation died down. She never raised her voice. There was no need. A single glance was enough for her subordinates to instantly understand an order.

Many men still believed women had no place in the army. They waited for Vanessa to make a mistake, but the problem was, she rarely made any. And she wasn't the only female general. Others had long since proven that in the army, it's not gender that matters, but strength and command skills.

And yet there was a man who managed to irritate her.

Captain Danner was the commander of the all-male special forces unit. Tall, calm, and always collected, he didn't hate Vanessa, but he was constantly making caustic remarks.

"Be careful, General," he chuckled one day after an operation. "Or your girls will show my men how to work again."

Vanessa looked at him coldly.

"If your men are inferior to mine, the problem is clearly not with me, Captain.

Danner just chuckled, as if that was exactly the reaction he was looking for.

And what irritated Vanessa most was that when she was around him, she began to get angry not like a general, but like an ordinary person.
