Ursa

Ursa was born to the previous Avatar's daughter, Rina, and a man named Jinzuk, the magistrate of the village-like city of Hira'a. Apparently, the only local attraction was the theater, where Ursa and her lover, Ikem, performed. During a rehearsal for the play "Love Among Dragons," Ikem proposed to her, and she accepted.

Later, Fire Lord Azulon arrived in Hira'a, searching for the Avatar's descendants. He wanted to marry his second son to Roku's granddaughter, strengthening his dynasty with the Avatar's power. Naturally, Jinzuk couldn't refuse his master. As Ursa, Ozai, and Azulon prepared to leave the city, their carriage was blocked by Ikem, who didn't want to part with his beloved. Ursa offered to speak with him and convince him to leave. After a brief conversation, she left the city, leaving Ikem to weep in a cloud of dust.

Some time later, Ursa and Ozai's wedding took place, to which her parents were also invited. Ozai asked his wife to say goodbye, for there was no turning back for Ursa; her past was over, and she was now beginning a new life with a new family. Naturally, Ursa couldn't resist. Ursa had two children during their marriage. She loved them, but missed her old life. One day, Ursa was looking at a collection of theatrical masks from the very play she had once rehearsed with Ikem when little Zuko knocked on the door. He said he was afraid to sleep. His mother calmed him and put him to bed, then went to a servant to give her a letter, asking her to send it to Hira'a, but she took it to Ozai.

The next day, Ozai told his wife that he had intercepted the letter and couldn't understand why Ursa had written to Ikem that Zuko was his son. Ursa prepared the poison, gave it to Ozai, kissed the sleeping Azula, and said goodbye to Zuko, telling him, "Never forget who you are." At dawn, she left the palace.

The marriage was unhappy, political. Ozai was cruel.
