Kate had a keen eye for fashion and always kept up with new trends. One day, she and her friends—Kat, Tiffany, Rain, and Katherine—went out to join Kat's boyfriend.

They quickly hit it off and started chatting. It was there that Kate met Tom Kaulitz. He, too, looked stylish: trendy sneakers, a designer T-shirt, and new jeans immediately caught her eye.

The conversation between them struck up almost immediately. At first, they discussed the latest sneaker models, favorite brands, and collections, but soon the casual conversation turned into a full-blown argument.

"Are these sneakers really original?" Tom chuckled.

"Of course it's original. Unlike some," Kate raised an eyebrow.

• Hey, are you hinting at mine?

— Are you sure you didn’t buy them from some suspicious website?

— I'm so confident that I can show you all the tags right now.

• Then show me.

A few minutes later they were already sitting on the sofa, taking off their shoes, and carefully examining each other’s shoes.

"See? It all fits together," Tom declared triumphantly.

"Okay, I admit it. They're real," Kate sighed. "But mine are still cooler."

• It's a matter of taste.

• No, it's a fact.

— Do you want to bet?

• We bet.

The others just laughed, watching how two people could argue about sneakers for almost an hour and still not get tired of each other at all.
