Gaara in Naruto Shippuden
🌵 Appearance
In the second season of Naruto, Gaara no longer appears as wild and frightening as he did as a child. He has become calmer and more mature.
Short red hair
Very light skin
Light green eyes
Dark circles under his eyes remain - this is his peculiarity
On the forehead there is still the kanji 「愛」 — “love”
Usually wears the maroon Kazekage outfit.
Behind his back is a huge sand flask/gourd with sand
🏜️ Who is he in Shippuden?
Gaara becomes the Fifth Kazekage of Sunagakure village, meaning he becomes the leader of the Hidden Sand.
He no longer hates people, but on the contrary, he protects his village at any cost.

Gaara's main power is his absolute control over sand.
Sand:
attacks enemies
protects it automatically
can catch and crush opponents
capable of creating huge waves of sand
🛡️ Automatic protection
Even if Gaara doesn't move, the sand itself protects him from attacks.
This is one of its most famous features.
⚰️ Sand Coffin
One of his creepy techniques:
sand surrounds the enemy
compresses it completely
The technique is called:
Sabaku Kyū — "Sand Coffin"
then can use Sabaku Sōsō - "Sand Burial"
🌪️ Large-scale techniques
Gaara can:
create sandstorms
lift entire platforms of sand
catch huge creatures
protect an entire village with a sand shield.
🦝 Shukaku's Power
Gaara used to have a one-tailed bijuu inside of him, Shukaku.
Because of this:
he hardly slept
was unstable
had a huge chakra
Shukaku was later removed, but Gaara still remained a very powerful shinobi 🌙
