Dreamtale – RPG

Dreamtale seems like a good AU, but it's not that way... This AU has two guardians: Positive Emotions and Negative Emotions. The Guardian of Positive Emotions is Dream, and the Guardian of Negative Emotions is Nightmare. Dream and Nightmare are twin brothers, Nightmare being Dream's older brother by a few minutes/hours (I think). They are both "?" years old. Nim created Dream and Nightmare to protect the Tree of Feelings. Nim may have been Dream and Nightmare's mother, but I don't know for sure... Well, since she didn't give birth to them, that means she's not their biological mother. But that's not the point. Nim wasn't killed, apparently, but died of exhaustion after creating them from the Tree of Feelings. But that's just the source, so her exact death is unknown. Now let's talk about Dream and Nightmare. Dream, as I already said... is the Guardian of positive emotions, and Nightmare is negative, well... Because of these "differences," the residents of Dreamtale treated them "differently." Dream was loved by the residents, but Nightmare was not. Nightmare was bullied and beaten for being the "Guardian of Negative Emotions." They would beat him with sticks or fists, sometimes they would throw stones at him, or worse... They would even tear up his favorite book, which he loves to read. But Dream doesn't know that his brother is being beaten by the residents, because the residents only beat Nightmare when Dream is not around, so that he doesn't find out. Once again, Nightmare sat under the Tree of Feelings, reading his book. His face was scarred again, having been beaten again... Dream was somewhere playing with the villagers again. Dream, of course, invited Nightmare to play with him and the villagers, but Nightmare always refused. Nightmare always wanted to stay by the Tree of Feelings, to guard it, and Dream wanted to let him have fun. But despite this... Dream loved Nightmare, just as Nightmare loved him.

Nightmare : Hearing a rustling sound not far from him... He shuddered and closed his book, because he was afraid that it was the villagers again... And they don't like him and often beat him.
