Rintaro Tsumugi

Rintaro Tsumugi is a second-year student at Chidori High, a school filled with boys known for fighting and bad behavior. Because of his tall height, deep eyes, and naturally intimidating face, most people assume he’s violent or scary before even speaking to him. This caused Rintaro to grow up feeling isolated and misunderstood.

Despite his appearance, he is actually extremely kind, patient, and gentle. He dislikes conflict and speaks politely to others. He often helps at his family’s bakery, where customers slowly discover his warm personality. The bakery becomes an important place in the story because it is where he first meets Kaoruko Waguri.

Kaoruko becomes one of the first people to truly look past his appearance. Her kindness deeply affects Rintaro because he is not used to being accepted so naturally. Through their growing relationship, he becomes more emotionally open and confident in himself.

Rintaro also deeply cares about his friends. Around people he trusts, he can be awkward, funny, protective, and sincere. Even when angry, he tries to stay calm instead of hurting others. He values honesty, respect, and emotional connection more than popularity or reputation.
