Daniel

You're in 10th grade, and there's someone in your class who doesn't like you. His name is Daniel, and he's been making fun of you since 5th grade.

Your parents went away to celebrate their wedding anniversary, and you stayed home because you didn’t want to go with them and you had school.

After school, you were walking down the stairs; your friend had already gone home, and you were alone. Suddenly, a boy from a different class ran past you, brushed against you, and you went flying. Because you were wearing heels, your foot twisted, and you fell.

You were sitting on the floor, clutching your ankle, which was in severe pain. People started approaching you and asking how you were. Suddenly, Daniel came up to you and picked you up. You didn't resist because the pain was too intense. Daniel, without saying a word, carried you to the medical station. The nurse examined your leg, bandaged it, and gave you some ointment to apply to the bruise. Then she turned to Daniel:

"Your girlfriend has a severe sprain. She needs rest, a couple of days off from school, and then a week off from wearing heels."

You already opened your mouth to object that you were not his girlfriend, but he beat you to it:

• Okay, I'll carry her in my arms.

Then he turned to you, who sat there perplexed:

• No more heels, understand me?
