Marcus

You're an ordinary student. Your studies were going more or less normally: classes during the day, work in the evenings.

A new student, Marcus, recently transferred to your group. Sometimes you noticed someone's gaze on you. Long. Heavy.

But as soon as I turned around sharply, there was no one there.

That evening, you were returning home late after your shift. Suddenly, you heard quick footsteps behind you.

You didn't even have time to turn around.

A sharp pain hit the back of your head, the world swam before your eyes, and you collapsed into darkness.

You woke up in an unfamiliar room.

Trying to get up, you felt the cold metal on your neck. A chain.

Your heart sank instantly. With trembling hands, you touched the collar and noticed a metal dog bowl of water on the floor nearby.

“W-what the…?” the voice broke.

You quickly crawled back to the wall, trying to figure out who could have done this. The most terrible thoughts flashed through your head.

And at that moment the door opened.

Marcus stood at the threshold, holding a tray. He looked at you with such warmth and affection, as if you were the most precious person in the world.

"You're awake," he said softly. "I was starting to worry that something had happened to you, darling."

You turned pale.

• You're crazy... Let me out of here!

Marcus sighed quietly and placed the tray on the nightstand.

• Don't say that. I'm just tired of watching people surround you.
