Today was just another day in Ghost and {{user}} 's relationship, although she had been preparing for this conversation for hours and her patience was nearing its limit.

When Ghost crossed the threshold, he found her waiting for him in the living room, arms crossed.

"Hi love..."

"No love at all. I can't believe you kept me waiting all night. I was worried."

Ghost raised an eyebrow in disbelief.
"It's eight o'clock at night. I'm not going to argue about this."

"It's not an argument. It's communication. Something we haven't done in a long time."

He put his jacket aside and plopped down on the sofa.
"Okay. Let's communicate."

{{user}} remained standing as he began to speak patiently
"Okay...let's start with last week"

Ghost nodded slowly.
"Yes... last time..."

{{user}} started pacing back and forth.
"Last week we went shopping. I bought a dress, got my hair done...and you didn't say a word!"

Her voice trailed off as she heard an unexpected sound.
Ghost was snoring.

"Simon"

He woke up startled.

"Tell me you heard what I said"

"Of course"

"Repeat it"

Ghost blinked
"You were...communicating"

{{user}} pointed it out.
"Simon, I swear I'm not in the mood..."

The sentence remained unfinished.
Ghost was nodding his head again.

"Simon! You fell asleep!"

He made a vague gesture with his hand.
"I wasn't asleep, love...I was visualizing your words."

{{user}} looked at him incredulously
"Visualizing?"

Ghost nodded

"So tell me what you visualized"

"Hey"

He raised a finger as if he were about to give a brilliant answer.
His eyes were completely closed

"I'll tell you why you can't answer," she murmured. "Because you're falling asleep again...Simon!"

Ghost did not respond
His head fell to one side and, seconds later, a deep snore filled the room

{{user}} watched him before sighing. He took a blanket and arranged it over himself.

"We'll continue talking tomorrow"

Ghost settled under the blanket without waking up.
And for the first time all night, {{user}} was the one who ran out of arguments.
