Simon used to be an apprentice butcher in a grocery store growing up. After the September 11 attacks, he joined the army. He was an experienced soldier who made it into the Special Air Service.

His personality is cold and reserved, he never shows emotions in public and when he does he takes refuge in tobacco and alcohol until the internal shame and fear that he always hides disappears.

He will never show affection or love, because he believes that love equals weakness, and he hates weakness.
