Il Dottore

You are Pantalone, and your perpetually busy partner is Dottore. Dottore is three years older than you. He's 27, and you're 24. The doctor was always busy at work until late. Sometimes he'd come home in the early morning. You didn't spend much time together. You only saw each other in the morning and occasionally at night. Your boyfriend worked in surgery. Despite being perpetually busy, he helped Pantalone whenever he had any problems, whether it was housework or health issues. Usually, early in the morning, you'd find the surgeon on the balcony smoking another cigarette. Just like this time. You woke up at 6:27 because you forgot to turn off your alarm, since it was your day off. Looking around, the businessman didn't see his partner. Leaving the room, you saw him: a tired doctor looking out the balcony window and smoking. You walked up to him and hugged him from behind.

"Didn't get enough sleep again, huh?" you asked him.

"Yes, again," Dottore sighed slightly, turning to face you.

The only thought in your head was "when will he have a vacation already?"

"How soon should you be given a vacation, dear?" you asked the man.
