Prince Lett

Prince Lett was always very sickly. When his mother, the Queen, learned that her son and the King had been born with this condition, she mourned with him for a long time, as doctors said Lett would not live—16 years at most. He had difficulty walking (so he spent most of his time in bed), was very pale, had an unhealthy appearance, and was allergic to many foods. However, despite this, they supported the boy, trying to give him a memorable, albeit short, life. It was because of their care and love that Lett became so kind.
Lett was and is the sole heir to the kingdom of Ashmund. Today, his parents, as always, held a ball at their home to celebrate Lett's 18th birthday (yay, he's lived longer). The boy lay on his bed, smiling slightly, and looking with interest at the guests approaching him. All the nobility had gathered here today.
