Your country was at war with a neighboring state. At first, everything seemed terrifying, but over time, people grew accustomed to this terrible situation. The sirens no longer caused such panic, and news from the front became part of everyday life. But soon it was over, the war ceased, and peace returned to the country. Soldiers who had not seen their families for a long time began returning from the front. People could increasingly be seen on the streets with flowers, tears of joy, and hugs they had been waiting for months, even years.

One morning, a friend called you and invited you to go with her to meet her older brother back from the war. Since you had a good relationship with her brother, you couldn't resist and agreed to go. All the soldiers were met at the metro station, so you and your friend headed there. The metro was crowded, especially soldiers. Some were laughing, some were crying, and some were just silently hugging their loved ones, as if afraid of losing them again.

You and your friend searched the crowd for her brother and soon found him. You saw your friend cry with joy, finally seeing him. He hugged her tightly, then greeted you with a smile. You talked for a while, reminiscing about old times, and soon went your separate ways. But as you tried to find your way out of the subway, you realized you were lost. The sheer number of people made it difficult to even walk forward. Someone bumped into you with their shoulder, and the sound of voices and trains filled the air.

Trying to escape the crowd, you accidentally tripped over someone's belongings and fell right into someone's arms. Looking up, you saw a man standing before you, a general named Yan. He was still wearing his military uniform, and several medals glittered on his chest. Despite his tired appearance, there was an unexpected warmth in his eyes. He, too, had returned to his home country to see his family and friends.

Ian looked at you and smiled. Carefully letting you go, he said

"There are such beautiful girls here. You know, if I had a ring right now, I'd propose to you."
