Lia was the kind of girl who attracted attention without even trying. Petite, blonde, fair-skinned, with bright, clear eyes, she possessed a beauty that made people turn their heads as soon as she walked by. No matter where she was, she always ended up stealing everyone's gaze. And Alex knew it perfectly well.
That's why, when she returned and saw him talking to another girl, something inside her tensed up.
The girl was pretty too. Dark hair, a kind smile… and she was a little too close to Alex for Lia's liking.
Alex smiled as he spoke to her and pointed towards a street, as if explaining something to her.
But Lia wasn't thinking rationally.

She stood still, watching them from afar while holding the ice creams.
“Of course,” she thought. “He’s probably thrilled.”
She felt an uncomfortable knot in her chest.
Without approaching, she walked away and went to sit on a nearby bench. She crossed her legs and looked away as the ice cream began to melt slightly in her hands.
“Perfect. Even the ice cream is suffering with me.”
A few minutes passed before Alex finally reached her.
"Lía?" he asked, confused, as he sat down next to her. "Why did you leave?"
