Andrés Hugo Domínguez León is one of the main antagonists of the fictional series Misery, especially during the first season. He is a Spanish serial killer known for his extreme misogyny, meticulous behavior, and the emotional coldness with which he carries out his crimes. After leaving Spain, he moved to the United States to continue his murders far from European authorities, adopting the criminal identity of "Iceman," a nickname inspired by a famous real-life killer whom he admires and whose methods he obsessively studied for years.

As a child, his extreme misogyny was created due to the mental instability of his mother, who, wanting him to be a girl, forced him to become one, practically by dressing him as a woman and being forced by a hostile environment to be only as his mother ordered him, without freedom, without anything, only what his mother imposed, which made him develop a lack of empathy, his own voice and above all, an irrational hatred of all women, regardless of their nature, in a general and excessive way.

His way of speaking often includes many poetic phrases, quotes from authors or books, and he speaks in such a formal and stylized way that it makes him difficult to understand.

Appearance
Andrés Hugo Domínguez León possesses a distinctive appearance that greatly contributes to the unsettling atmosphere surrounding him. His physical appearance conveys a constant sense of coldness and emotional distance, being described by several characters in the series as someone who "seems incapable of feeling human warmth." He is a tall, slender Spanish man, though he maintains a lean, defined musculature resulting from strict physical habits and an obsessively organized routine, and he has a rather curvy waist for a man. His body reflects discipline rather than brute strength, fitting his calculating and methodical personality. Unlike antagonists who are physically intimidating due to their size or visible aggression, Andrés generates discomfort through his silent presence and the way he observes people. His skin is noticeably pale, a consequence of both his genetics and his isolated lifestyle. The series mentions on several occasions that he spends long periods locked in his room or in dark apartments, avoiding sunlight and unnecessary contact with other people. This gives his appearance a sickly cold tone, almost artificial in certain scenes.

One of his most recognizable features is his long, perfectly straight hair, an unusual icy blue. It falls to partially cover the sides of his face and the back of his neck, giving him a silhouette easily identifiable even in shadows or low light. Depending on the scene, the tone of his hair can appear more silvery or more bluish, constantly reinforcing the visual association with ice and winter. His eyes share the same icy hue as his hair, a characteristic that intensifies the sense of emotional emptiness he conveys. Andrés's gaze is usually expressionless, fixed, and cold, even during violent or emotionally intense situations. He has dark circles under his eyes.

His style of dress typically leans towards dark clothing, long coats, baggy sweatshirts, or garments in cool colors such as gray, black, dark blue, and off-white. His wardrobe was deliberately designed to reinforce the "Iceman" concept, projecting the image of someone emotionally frozen and detached from the rest of the world. He uses a black mask to conceal his identity during his crimes.

In his room, with privacy and in a more informal environment, he usually wears a sleeveless shirt with full openings that show both sides of his body in light blue and navy blue long pants, and in this environment he wears reading glasses because he is a cultured man.

Andrés is presented as a deeply unsettling individual due to the combination of his absolute calm, his formidable verbal intelligence, and his almost complete absence of visible emotion. Much of his presence is built around the unsettling feeling he generates even when he remains completely still or speaks calmly. Andrés' most dangerous skill lies not in physical strength, but in his extraordinary intelligence and analytical abilities. Throughout the series, Andrés demonstrates an intellect far superior to the average, combined with enormous patience, strategic thinking, and an extremely keen perception of his surroundings. From his first murders in Spain, Andrés made it clear that he was capable of planning crimes with an alarming level of precision. Unlike impulsive or emotionally unstable killers, he carefully analyzed schedules, movement patterns, security cameras, potential witnesses, and methods for eliminating any evidence before even acting. Thanks to this, he managed to commit multiple murders without constantly having to flee from the authorities, remaining completely off the police radar for years. It is emphasized that Andrés did not rely on luck to avoid being discovered. His ability to think ahead allowed him to anticipate potential mistakes before making them, minimizing risks and maintaining an appearance of normalcy in front of those around him. Even after leaving Spain and moving to the United States, he managed to repeat the same pattern in a completely different environment. During his time in Boston, Andrés became virtually invisible to the authorities. Although one of his mistakes eventually led to a indirect connection between him and certain incidents, the investigation progressed with enormous difficulty due to the lack of direct evidence and the precision with which he manipulated each crime scene. His murders could occur either alone or with Aitana, leaving no obvious traces that would easily link the cases. One of the most remarkable aspects of his intelligence was his exceptional observational skills.

Physical Capacity
Despite not possessing an excessively muscular physique, Andrés stands out for maintaining a surprisingly efficient and dangerous level of physical fitness. His body is specifically trained for combat, endurance, and precision, reflecting years of obsessive preparation aimed at transforming assassination into a kind of personal discipline. Andrés doesn't seek to develop flashy physical strength, but rather a functional and controlled body. His training focuses on improving reflexes, coordination, motor precision, and physical stamina, allowing him to act quickly and silently even in extremely tense situations. One of the most well-known examples of his strength and precision occurs when he manages to throw an ordinary kitchen knife with such power and accuracy that it ends up embedding itself right in the center of a dartboard. The scene is especially striking because household knives are not designed to be thrown, much less to penetrate surfaces in that way with enough stability to hit a small target. This demonstrates not only physical strength in his arm and wrist, but also extremely advanced coordination and practice. Andrés has also proven to be highly proficient in hand-to-hand combat. Unlike other killers who rely solely on weapons or surprise attacks, he enjoys physically confronting his victims, viewing murder as a kind of "combat sport" where physical and mental superiority must be directly imposed on the adversary. Because of this mindset, he has on several occasions attacked people using only his bare fists or metal knuckle dusters, preferring direct contact to quick or distant methods. This behavior portrays him as an extension of his need for control and absolute dominance over the situation.

Proficiency with Firearms
Although firearms are not Andrés's primary method, he possesses enough experience to use them effectively when the situation demands it. Unlike other impulsive or extremely violent killers, Andrés usually prefers quieter, more controlled methods, as he believes firearms attract too much attention and disrupt the "cleanliness" of his plans. Even so, he keeps several pistols hidden in his residence, demonstrating that he is always prepared for emergency scenarios. The presence of these weapons reveals one of the most important aspects of his personality: preventative paranoia. Andrés rarely leaves anything to chance, so he keeps resources ready even for situations he hopes he won't need them for. The pistols hidden under his sofa reflect precisely this obsessive and distrustful mindset, as he places them in strategic points of the house to react quickly to any intrusion or unexpected threat. His skill with firearms is demonstrated in one of the most memorable scenes involving the character. Upon hearing a sudden noise inside his home, Andrés reacted almost instantly, pulling out both pistols hidden under the sofa without showing fear, hesitation, or nervousness. The speed of his reaction suggests he had practiced this movement numerous times, making it function almost as an automatic reflex, a product of habit and the constant surveillance under which he lives. He also possesses excellent aim, capable of shooting and destroying a landline telephone.

Weapon Skill
Despite lacking formal military training or a history of professional combat, Andrés demonstrates throughout the story a surprisingly high capacity for using improvised weapons and everyday objects as lethal tools. His fighting style is not based on uncontrolled strength, but rather on precision, speed, and anatomical knowledge—factors that make him an extremely dangerous adversary even without conventional weaponry. One of Andrés's most unsettling aspects is his ability to transform common objects into deadly weapons. He shows that he can quickly adapt to his surroundings and use any nearby tool with aggressive efficiency. This is particularly evident in the scene where he wields a kitchen knife during a confrontation. Although it was an ordinary household utensil, Andrés demonstrated enough coordination and aim to throw it directly at his opponent's head with homicidal intent. The attack only fails due to his opponent's reflexes and evasive abilities, clearly demonstrating the considerable accuracy of the throw. It is emphasized that Andrés does not fight impulsively. Every move is typically aimed at quickly incapacitating the target before they can react. Even when using improvised weapons, he maintains a cold and methodical approach, attacking vulnerable points and avoiding unnecessary movements. However, the most disturbing element of his criminal record is the way he typically avoids killing his victims directly during their first encounter. Andrés finds prolonged or physically violent murders exhausting, so he prefers to quickly neutralize people and then transfer them to his cryogenic chamber, a location that becomes one of the most macabre features of his modus operandi.
