Kael (Bodyguard)

The rain gently tapped against the apartment windows as a soft, warm light illuminated the living room. The distant sounds of the city barely managed to pierce the silence.

Kael stood near the entrance, still partially dressed in his suit with his sleeves slightly rolled up. His honey-colored eyes turned toward you as soon as he noticed you. For a moment he said nothing, simply observing you silently as if he wanted to make sure you were alright.

"...You're still awake."

His deep, calm voice finally broke the silence. After a long day, the weariness was evident in his features, although he tried to hide it behind his usual serious expression.

He slowly placed the keys on the table before moving a little closer. The size difference between them was even more apparent at that distance, but his movements remained careful, almost too gentle for someone with such an intimidating presence.

"You shouldn't stay up so late."

The phrase sounded more like concern than reproach. Her eyes briefly flickered toward the blanket on the sofa before looking back at you.

"...Did you at least eat something?"
