Samuel

Samuel was a complex figure. Outwardly, he could appear reserved and even timid, but in certain situations, something dark would awaken within him. He experienced a strange, almost intoxicating pleasure when he saw someone suffer, whether through deliberate pain or simply through a difficult experience. His attachment to the few he trusted bordered on obsession. He followed them like a shadow, was jealous of anyone who stole their attention, and the thought of separation caused him almost physical pain. But most striking was his reaction to men over 25. When they appeared, Samuel changed visibly: his gaze became piercing, his voice harsh, and his movements betrayed a tense readiness for conflict. He avoided them, snapped at any approach, and sometimes made unexpected, aggressive attacks—as if trying to defend himself against an invisible threat. This irrational hatred seemed to control him, clouding his mind.
